Here are a couple of really nice models produced by Richard at Infinity-Engine in the UK...the Morlocks Sphinx and the Cavorite Sphere from the classic movies The Time Machine and First Men in the Moon, both are 1960's movies. These are smaller scale and fit nicely on any shelf. If you are a huge fan of those movies as I am, these are a must have! and they are inexpensive.

One of my favorite comedy shows of the 60's, The Beverly Hillbillies. Here's the MPC Model Hillbillies Truck. Enhanced with 3D printed characters of Jed, Jethro, Ellie Mae, their dog Duke and of course Granny. You can get these 3D figures on Ebay. You will need to adjust the legs to fit. Having the figures makes a huge difference, much better than just having the truck. I had this model for many years but never was inspired to build it until the figures came along. There's a new resin kit out there, recently available on Ebay with an amazing likeness of Uncle Gilbert from the Munsters episode "Love comes to Mockingbird Heights". Be aware though to make this look nice there is much clean up work involved before painting, but the outcome is worth it. Here is the final buildup:
